Construction is officially underway on Metropolitan Park, Phases 6/7/8. On January 22, demolition crews mobilized to the jobsite to begin removing existing warehouse structures and clearing the way for construction activities on the new office buildings, which are slated to begin later this spring.

Arlington County Board officials voted Saturday to approve the construction of Amazon’s second headquarters in Pentagon City. The 5-to-0 vote signals the start of construction on two, 22-story office buildings. Known as Metropolitan Park 6/7/8, the project will encompass nearly 2.1 million square feet, including 50,000 square feet of curated retail space.
