Construction is officially underway on Metropolitan Park, Phases 6/7/8. Demolition crews mobilized to the jobsite on January 22 to begin removing existing warehouse structures, clearing the way for construction of the new office buildings, which is slated to begin later this spring.
Crews started demolition work along 15th Street, later moving their operations to the north corner of the south warehouse building along S. Eads Street. Demolition activity includes knocking down existing structures, as well as the removal of concrete slabs and footings. The sorting and removal of construction materials from the site will continue over the next several months.

Early utility-related work is currently in the mobilization stage and expected to continue through early spring. Veteran-owned small business BF Joy is performing dry utility operations.
Construction activities on the new office towers, including site excavation, support of excavation, and foundations work, are anticipated to begin this spring.
