Arlington County Board officials voted Saturday to approve the construction of Amazon’s second headquarters in Pentagon City. The 5-to-0 vote signals the start of construction on two, LEED Platinum office buildings. Known as Metropolitan Park 6/7/8, the project will encompass nearly 2.1 million square feet, including 65,000 square feet of curated retail space.
Clark Construction will begin construction enabling work on the mega project as early as mid-January 2020. The Metropolitan Park project is expected to be complete in 2023.
